Who is the manufacturer
The international company Protherm was founded in 1991 in the Czech Republic. The initial production line was located at a plant in Prague and specialized in the production of electric boilers.
Proterm produce quite a few modifications of boilers
The high popularity of the products forced the company's management to increase production, so the company moved its workshops to the Slovak city of Skalica.
The rapid growth of production led to the fact that by 1993 the Medved concern occupied 65% of the market for electric heating boilers in Eastern Europe.
A year later, Proterm begins production of boiler units operating on liquid fuel and using two types of gas: liquefied and main gas. In 1997, the company acquired the European quality certificate ISO 9001 and began exporting boiler equipment to England and Germany.
At the same time, the company is launching a production line for the production of solid fuel and condensing boilers, as well as boilers for heating and storing hot water. In 2013, Protherm began manufacturing solar collectors.
Since 2010, the Protherm brand has been part of the group of red brands of the trading company Vaillant Group, which has thoroughly redesigned the corporate identity of the boilers.
Varieties of Bear boiler models
The Proterm company has a unique assembly technology. Based on the type of product being manufactured, the assembly line operates on the principle of a conveyor, for floor-standing units, and for mounted ones using the “one boiler - one master” or “one piece flow” technology.
Installed boiler with boiler
In the latter case, each unit is assembled entirely by one master, who is responsible for the result and quality of the assembly. The company produces Comfort boilers with the function of high-speed heating of hot water, in no more than 5 seconds. Quality control is organized on all production lines, with all components and elements of the Protherm Medved boiler checked.
Floor models exist in 6 modifications:
- Grizzly KLO, cast iron heat exchanger, step control, natural draft, efficiency - 91%.
- Bear TLO, floor-standing gas boiler, non-volatile, single-stage, natural draft, efficiency - 91%.
- Bison NO, two-way smoke exhaust system, energy-dependent, forced draft, efficiency - 92%.

Distinctive features
The Bear floor heating boiler runs on gas fuel, depending on the modification: TLO, KLOM, PLO and KLZ, and has different design solutions for organizing the operation of the burner device, the smoke exhaust system and the movement of the coolant in the circuit.
The main differences between Protherm Bear floor-standing gas boilers:
- Modulation of thermal power, with adjustment of gas consumption and energy savings during transitional heating periods.
- Electric ignition of the boiler, with a closed combustion chamber, ensures 100% automation of the combustion process.
- Cast iron heat exchangers for the heating circuit increase the service life of the boiler by 5-8 years, compared to the steel and copper version
- High efficiency, up to the maximum achieved level of 92%, reduces the cost of generated thermal energy and the payback period of boiler equipment to 3-4 years.
- Affordable gas boiler repair due to a developed service network.

We installed and connected a floor-standing gas boiler Protherm klom 40 with a turbo extension. The unit worked perfectly, but one day it started to have trouble starting, then it gave an F1 error. After resetting the errors, it starts (often 2 times) and cannot heat the temperature of the heating boiler to more than 48 degrees when set to 80-85, that is, the device works, but it feels like it does not go from the warm-up phase to maximum. Previously, it worked a little at minimum and after a while it turned on the heat to heat it up, but now, as soon as it starts up, it stays at minimum (you can hear it from the sound of operation and judging by the fact that it does not heat more than 48 degrees). When it was heating up, the sound was clearly audible. I took off the cover, 2 sensors, and the lenses themselves, there was no dust or soot, I wiped everything, blew it with air and collected it. The injectors are clean. Nothing was spinning on the automatic, nothing was done before the malfunction, there is gas pressure. What to think about? For me, there are two options - the control board and the automation itself (gearbox), which switches the modes (there is a sound from it, as if a transformer is humming, but not much, maybe I didn’t notice it before). There is a stabilizer, the phasing is correct. In addition to cleaning, boiler maintenance includes checking combustion modes. Settings may be lost. It's time to contact the service. Yesterday I installed a 200-liter BKN boiler for the Protherm Medved KLOM V-17 boiler. Everything works great: there is hot water supply, the pumps work, but one thing confuses me. It does not show the current water temperature in the BKN (instead, the pressure in the system), although according to the instructions it seems to be supposed to. The device detects the sensor and reacts to it. Tell me, please, what could be the reason? Have you connected the boiler temperature sensor to the boiler? And if connected, then to which connector? Maybe this is the problem. I'm asking for help with the Bear 50 KLOM boiler (protherm st6-10 v 1.2 boiler control board). In winter, probably after a power surge, the recirculation pump relay refused to work, after which the pump was closed directly. Yesterday I dealt with the control board and relay, as a result: the input voltage is 16-18V, instead of 12V, is this normal? I connected 12V to the relay legs to check that they click. The relay for the heating circuit was stuck. Then I checked the functionality of each relay with a tester - they close and open. Currently, when the unit is turned on, both pumps turn on and never turn off. There is voltage on the relay legs, i.e. For some reason, it always turns on both pumps, despite the fact that the heating is now turned off and there is no water heating for the boiler. Questions - what is the likelihood that this is a failure of the board itself? What additional steps can be taken for diagnosis? The problem is this, the Proterm Klom 30 boiler. An indirect heating boiler is connected to it, the heating temperature is regulated by air. I began to notice that even when the heating was turned off, he still turned it on. The heating is turned off on the air regulator and on the boiler programmatically (according to the instructions). Hot water heats consistently. There are no errors, the reset started. Where to dig? Hardly. If you turned it on, you would immediately understand it by the temperature in the house. Most likely, there is simply some heat transfer into the heating due to natural circulation. I purchased a new but defrosted Proterm Medved KLOM 40 boiler, replaced the section, pressurized it, assembled it, connected it to the system, everything is fine (no leaks). Start button: shows the current temperature of 20 degrees, which coincides with the reading of the nearby unit). We set the heating temperature to 60 degrees (the DHW sensor is not connected, the jumper is in place of the room thermostat and the booster). Press MODE - the current temperature lights up, and the LED in the lower right corner in the ignition unit clicks the relay. But there is no spark, no gas opening. After a few seconds the display shows error F1. The block board appears to be without damage. Question: where to look and how (if this is real) to check the board on the table? If I understand correctly, then the 4th and 12th legs of the block receive 220 Volts, and the 1st and 2nd legs receive 5v for starting? If the overheating sensor and the draft sensor are connected and closed, then we change the firebox. If there is no signal from the board to the fireman, then there will be no F1. We would like to install and connect a floor-standing boiler Klom 30 V-17. Will it work in an open heating system? I saw in the instructions that the minimum pressure is 1 atm. and there is a pressure sensor there. My (static - water column) is about 0.6-0.7 (basement-1st floor-attic). Well, here’s the second question: is it possible to “raise” the turbo extension above the boiler (by installing the corresponding D130 pipe) by about 800 mm? Risky. Either it will or it won't. The pressure sensor has a measurement error. The turbo extension can be raised. The boiler switches off when the pressure drops below a certain setting, usually 0.8 bar. On models with a control board, this setting can be changed in the service menu. There are also pressure sensors themselves with the ability to adjust directly on them. There is an adjustment screw on top filled (marked) with paint. But in case the maximum permissible pressure is exceeded, a pressure relief valve is installed there. If it is not there, then it is installed as a separate option when installing the CO. Basically they install a safety group, which includes an air vent, a pressure gauge and our relief valve. As a rule, they are 3 bar for domestic heating systems and boilers. They begin to operate, siphon, and leak already at 2.75 bar. Naturally, this is relevant for closed systems. In general, in our time, open CO is nonsense. It is clear that there are still many heating systems where an open expansion tank is still used, especially in those individual housing constructions where there is still a large volume of gravity-fed CO. But even it can be made closed by installing an expansion machine instead of an open tank. On the Protherm KLOM 40 boiler, after connecting the room thermostat (an ordinary Chinese electronic one, connected by a 5-meter two-core cable with a cross-section of 0.5 mm), the fuse (installed on the board in the green case) periodically began to blow. At the moment this happens about every day and a half. I tried changing the 1.6A fuse to 2A, but nothing changed, the time intervals between replacements are the same, i.e. at some certain moment the load increases sharply and the fuse blows (if you install a ceramic one, then of course nothing is visible inside, but if glass, it always breaks inside along the walls). Before this, the unit worked normally for about 2 years. What I tried to do: changed the temperature setting from maximum to almost minimum - it did not help. I changed the temperature setting on the thermostat - it didn’t help (at best, if you set it higher, the time until it burns out slightly increases). I changed the hysteresis from the minimum (0.1 degree) to other indicators (0.2 and higher) - it did not help. I set the response delay time from 0 to 5 minutes - it did not help. A floor-standing double-circuit boiler Protherm Medved KLOM 50 and a turbocharger were installed. The instructions indicate that when connecting the turbo nozzle, it is necessary to bridge the terminals of the combustion products thermostat. This thermostat, as I understand it, is installed under the chimney. How to bridge it and is it necessary to do so? The specialist started the device, but didn’t even remember about this sensor. Which room regulator should I connect? Any or there is some kind of trick. Is there a regulator for this model with two pairs of contacts? The manufacturer recommends the regulator SD 2000, Instat 2, Termolink S. Malfunction of the Protherm 40 KLOM gas boiler. After one heating season, the pilot light began to go out. At first occasionally, then more and more often, then almost after every heating. First the traction thermostat closed, then the emergency thermostat. It didn’t help, it stopped going off when I closed the wires of the circuit of these thermostats near the solenoid valve (soldered the jumper). The resistance of these wires (I did not measure) is about 0.01 Ohm. At a current of 1A the drop is about 10 mV. The thermocouple should output about 30 mV. These 10 mV are not enough to hold the valve. I think the thermocouple needs to be changed (it has begun to produce less voltage). Has anyone encountered such problems? Maybe the contact of the thermocouple at the junction with the solenoid valve will deteriorate? I've never dealt with thermocouples. There is a tube, apparently a conductor inside, on the tube there is a nut near the valve. How to check a contact? Unscrew the nut, clean the contacts, or can they just be wiped with something? Is it permissible to tighten the nut tighter for better contact, since hundredths of an ohm already make a difference? I adjusted the size of the igniter flame (on automatic, the “Pilot” adjustment bolt), made it minimum and maximum, and this did not affect the operation of the boiler in any way. As the pilot light goes out, it goes out. The only thing I can say 100% is that it didn’t get blown, because... it goes out at the same time as the valve clicks, and if you blow out the igniter, it will click after 3-5 seconds until the thermocouple cools down. Disassemble and clean the boss on the valve where the wires come. There should be a click within 30-40 seconds. Well, 15. But no less. The hotter the thermocouple is, the longer it takes to cool. Screw the thermocouple directly into the valve. With this connection, it holds for at least a minute until it clicks. Tell me the gas boiler Proterm Medved KLOM 30 phase independent? The unit is designed for connection to a single-phase three-wire electrical network 220 V 50 Hz with a protective conductor in accordance with the current PUE. It is not allowed to swap the “phase” (L–brown wire) and “zero” (N–blue wire) wires. Connecting it to the electrical network is an intervention in the internal structure of the device. This work should only be carried out by a specialist. We installed and connected the Medved Klom 50 boiler. It started normally, no one lives in the house yet, but they left it on. 2 days later I arrived, the unit is stuck with error F1. I reset the error, it starts, but at different intervals it throws F1 again. Could this be due to insufficient ventilation? Or look towards electricity? The voltage seems to be stable, but in any case I will install a UPS. And the second question - which gsm module is better to install for control via SMS? Is it possible to reset errors via SMS? The phasing is observed, the DHW boiler is not filled and not turned on. This error means that the automatic ignition is blocked and the gas supply through the gas valve is stopped, i.e. loss of flame. Such a blockage can occur in cases where, being in the open gas valve mode, the ignition automatic system does not receive a feedback signal about the presence of a flame from the ionization electrode. This malfunction can also be caused by the activation of the emergency thermostat or combustion products thermostat. Low gas pressure at the inlet, incorrect electrical connection (phase and zero are reversed) can also cause loss of flame. If the fault cannot be resolved using the RESET button, contact your service organization. Regarding GSM, Proterm does not have such modules. We installed and connected the gas floor-standing boiler Proterm 30 KLOM. Tell me, how critical is a loss of voltage in the network for the control board? Does it have sensors that will turn it off if there is no voltage in the network? How does overheat protection work? If it is critical, how is it usually corrected? The overheating protection function turns on the heating pump if the water temperature in the heating system is exceeded, set by the user, or if the coolant temperature exceeds 85C. If the coolant temperature exceeds 90C (fault F3), the unit will automatically turn off. If there is a power outage, the device will turn off. When the power supply is restored, it will automatically turn on, without losing the set operating parameters. If a fault message appears on the display after the power supply is restored, reset it using the RESET button. Blocking may occur due to its overheating as a result of stopping the pump after. The Proterm Medved Klom 40 boiler is in operation. The heating pump is connected directly to the electrical network, is this correct? Can I connect it directly to the unit, and what will this give me? Connecting a heating pump to a separate machine may depend on local circumstances and the hydraulic circuit of the furnace. It would be more correct to connect the pump to the boiler so that the circulation of the coolant through the heat exchanger is controlled automatically and the device does not overheat. A Protherm KLOM 30 floor-standing boiler has been installed. The heating project is still under development; combined heating is expected: radiators and heated floors. According to the instructions, the power supply of the circular pump must be connected not directly to the outlet, but through the terminals, so that the unit can turn off the pump at low temperatures and, as I understand it, therefore prevent corrosion of the cast iron. But for heated floors, it is assumed to use a heated floor with a mixing unit and another circular pump. When the main heating pump is turned off, the underfloor heating pump can still circulate through the boiler if it is plugged directly into the socket. In this regard, questions: It turns out that for the safety of the unit it is necessary to hang both pumps on the terminals? But in the instructions I did not find any explanations about this and the maximum power of the connected equipment. Is this possible, what is the maximum power and is it possible to see a document allowing this? In addition, ideally I would like to connect the power to the heated floor pump through a thermostat installed in the room (turns on the 220V power when the temperature decreases and turns off when the temperature increases), to automate the regulation of the floor temperature. It turns out that this is basically impossible? You cannot connect two pumps to one terminal. Proterm does not have such a control scheme. To control the TP there is cascade automation. SD2000 has been discontinued. For connecting the B200S boiler to the Protherm KLOM 50 gas floor-standing boiler. The manual for the B200S says: To ensure the operation of the boiler with the boiler, an electromechanical three-way separating valve with a built-in electric switching contact of size DN is supplied separately? (for use with wall-mounted models) or DN 1 (for use with floor-standing cast iron models). The manual for KLOM says: The control system regulates the heating of the boiler using a pump and an NTC boiler sensor. Nothing is said about a 3 way valve. It is not entirely clear which scheme is preferable? Which electromechanical three-way isolation valve with built-in electrical changeover contact is meant? Where can I see its characteristics? The principle of controlling the circulation pump is not yet clear; does the unit turn off the pump or change its performance? These are two possible schemes for connecting the boiler to the clog model: through a 3-way valve and through pumps. In the first case, no pumps other than a circulation pump are needed, in the second - a three-way valve. A Protherm KLOM 50 with a turbo nozzle is connected, it has been in operation for 1.5 years, but recently stopped starting. When turned on, the turbo nozzle starts, the display shows an indication of the current coolant temperature and the indicator flickers on the right in the corner and that’s it! What is this? The turbo manostat may be stuck. If there is abnormally low atmospheric pressure, reduce sensitivity. The Proterm Klom 40 boiler and turbo nozzle have been installed and connected. I have been using it since December 2014. I supervised his work on visits in the morning and evening. I moved into the house in March and noticed a peculiarity. From time to time it accelerates to 85 degrees at a set temperature of 60 degrees. Moreover, when it accelerates to 85 degrees, the lower right mark flashes on the screen, and the circulation pump does not vibrate (I can determine the operation of the pump connected to the boiler by placing my hand on it, otherwise you won’t hear it). After heating to 85, the pump turns on and the unit goes into normal mode: it cools down to 55, heats up to 65. What could it be? The diode is flashing - the boiler is operating in the boiler water heating mode. Everything is in order - this is a program for protecting against bacteria in the boiler - short-term heating. Only BKN needs to be connected to the Medvel 30 KLOM floor-standing boiler. It will only work to load the boiler. Accordingly, the entire system consists of a boiler, BKN, safety group, membrane tank and circulation pump. How to do it right? Just connect a temperature sensor and a boiler loading pump to the block or are there any nuances? It is necessary to switch the unit to “summer mode” for heating, then it will only work on an indirect heating boiler. There are no other nuances. We installed a gas floor-standing boiler Proterm 50 klom. At a set temperature of 55 or 60 degrees, when heated to the specified temperatures, should the needle of the pressure indicator rise or stand at the set mode, and when the specified temperature parameters are reached, should it fall or stand in the specified range? You will only see a visible change when the boiler is initially started, when the system is cold. At the moment the system warms up, if you have built up a pressure of 1 bar. when the temperature reaches 55-60 C, the pressure will rise to approximately 1.3-1.6 bar. When the system is already warmed up during the operating stroke of the unit, you will not notice any visible pressure drops. The only time you can see a pressure difference is when the boiler loading pump turns on and off. Adjustments and settings The cast iron floor-standing boiler Protherm Bear has the following model range: KLOM 50, 40, 30, 20. Preparation for start-up Check the water pressure value using the pressure gauge of the device. Open the gas shut-off valve and ensure gas supply. Connect the boiler to the mains and press the main switch button. Set the heating and hot water temperatures to approximately the middle of the range. In service mode “t“, select the coolant temperature at which the heating pump starts. Then, if desired, adjust it for further use. The device will turn on and operate in DHW mode. Once the DHW temperature reaches the set value, it will begin to operate in heating mode. Without turning it off, use a foam solution to check the tightness of all connections of the gas fittings. If a gas leak is detected, repair it immediately and repeat the inspection. When starting up for the first time, check and adjust its power in heating mode (only if the required power in heating mode is significantly lower than the maximum power of the unit). Setting the gas pressure The power is adjusted using control elements located on the combined gas fittings. Measure pressure using a U-shaped pressure gauge (it better reflects the dynamics of pressure changes). When setting up, you must: disconnect the unit from the power supply; unscrew the plug; loosen the shut-off screw in the gas outlet pressure fitting and put on the hose of the U-shaped pressure gauge (do not pull out the screw). Maximum power - Turn on the boiler in the mode of heating water in the boiler with maximum power. The measurement process should not be interrupted due to the device stopping (for example, upon reaching the maximum temperature of the water in the boiler, coolant, etc.). Using the adjustment of the plastic screw to the maximum, set the following values of the gas pressure (when turning clockwise, the gas pressure rises): to 125 mm of the water column for natural gas up to 270 mm of a water column for propane. Minimum power - turn on the gas boiler wrapper a bear with a crane 50, 40, 30, 20 in the heating mode (the first 100 seconds it works at minimum power). Install the minimum power with a screw, turning it into the extreme left position (counterclockwise); Using the adjusting wheel located on the automation of the ignition, set the following values: 55 mm of the water column for natural gas; 130 mm water column for propane. After the settings, turn off the unit, remove the U-shaped pressure gauge, and tighten the shut-off screw tightly. Scrap the plug in your place. Run the unit and control the tightness of the measurement sites located on gas reinforcement. Service (additional) modes mode of temperature reduction in heating mode - press the Mode button and hold it pressed for approximately 10 seconds. After that, the “U” parameter will appear on the display, the LED in the upper left corner will begin to flash. Using this parameter, an interval for a decrease in the heating power of the coolant is set, depending on the timer adjustment. At the same time, the interval of the work of the cast -iron boiler Protherm Klom 50, 40, 30, 20 with reduced power corresponds to the interval of work in the additional heating mode of the hydroelectric power station. The set heating temperature at this interval will be reduced by the value of the given parameter. The parameter value is selected using the arrow button, the selected value is confirmed by pressing the Mode button while moving to the next mode. The values of the parameter “U”: U1 - without reduction, U2 - decrease by 3C, U3 - decrease by 6C, U4 - decrease by 9C, U5 - decrease by 12C, U6 - reduction by 15C, U7 - decrease by 18C, U8 - decrease - decrease At 21c, U9 - a decrease by 24C, U Max. Reduced - heating mode and DHW are blocked, the boiler does not respond to the orders of the indoor regulator, only protection against freezing is active. The launch of the pump - the display shows the parameter "t". The diode, located in the upper left corner, flashes. The heating pump will be turned on only after reaching the temperature set using the “t” parameter. Install in this mode the required value of “t”, in which the heating pump will be launched. The temperature value is selected using the button and is confirmed by pressing the Mode button while moving to the next mode. The values of the parameter “t”: t1 - 40c, t2 - 45c, T3 - 48C, T4 - 50C, T5 - 52C, T6 - 54C, T7 = 56C, T8 = 58C, T9 = 60C, where T is the automatic installation of the temperature of the coolant in depending on the current required temperature. Starting power - the display shows the parameter “N”. The diode, located in the upper left corner, flashes. The starting power in this mode is set in the range: from the minimum value of “n -” to the maximum - “N9”. The required value is selected using the button, and is confirmed by pressing the Mode button while moving to the next mode. Changing the starting power is carried out only when reconfiguration to a different type of fuel.

You can learn about the design and installation features of KLOM boilers of various power lines from the video below.
Installation features
Bear boilers are installed in a room protected from sub-zero temperatures, not far from the chimney. The permissible temperature of the internal air in the combustion chamber is from +5 C to +40 C.
The boiler is placed on a reinforced concrete foundation or on a concrete floor, which must support the full weight of the boiler filled with water and auxiliary equipment and not be slippery.
To remove boiler gases, it is allowed to install a fan and a smoke exhauster, which will ensure their forced movement. The size of the outlet pipe for connection to the chimney varies depending on the heating capacity of the model, for example, for KLZ 30 - 133 mm, and for KLZ 40 - 152 mm.
Before starting Proterm Bear for the first time, thoroughly wash the internal surfaces of the heating system. A safety relief valve is installed on the cold water supply line to the indirect heating boiler to protect against high pressure. It is prohibited to install any shut-off valves between it and the housing.
The unit must be equipped with a drainage line to drain water from the heating circuit during repair of the Proterm Medved boiler. Installation of the expansion tank is carried out by the safety group.
All main and auxiliary boiler equipment is tied according to the diagrams indicated by the boiler design and technical documentation of the manufacturer.
Installation tips
The Proterm Bear boiler, due to the presence of adjustable legs, can be installed on a surface with slight unevenness or on a slope. For installation, it is recommended to choose a separate basement-type room.
Indoor view
When starting the boiler operating mode, you must:
- check whether it is connected to the power supply;
- check whether the gas shut-off valve and heating tap are open;
- inspect the readings of pressure sensors, which should not exceed the norm (1-2 bar).
The 50 KLOM system must be emptied periodically, for example, if there is no need to use it in winter or summer. However, it is recommended to do this no more than 1-2 times a year, since there is a risk of scale forming inside the boiler.
Reviews of Protherm Bear
Protherm Bear is a very well-known brand of gas boilers in Russia; buyers who are planning to purchase these DHW heating sources, first of all, expect reliability, efficiency in providing thermal conditions and durability from the model.
Over the course of several years of use, many have not been disappointed with their choice and are happy to share reviews on the Internet, while not forgetting to highlight the negative aspects of the device.
Before purchasing any boiler, the user needs to read such reviews in order to take into account all aspects of the unit when purchasing.
The most typical user reviews for Protherm Bear:
- The Protherm “Bear” KLZ model was purchased before the last heating season. Very convenient design with an additional 90 liter tank. The boiler is supplied assembled by the manufacturer; virtually no special assembly processes are required during installation; it is simply delivered, unpacked and connected. The installation of the heating system along with radiators and piping took about 2 days. A disadvantage is the lack of a water purification system to remove scale and suspended solids, so it is better to install an effective water treatment system.
- Protherm Bear 40 klom is a good choice in terms of the “functionality-quality-price” balance. The powerful unit reliably and fully provides hot water to the entire family through an external boiler. The boiler control is very accessible - a number of keys and a large LCD display. For two years of use in different temperature conditions - not a single complaint, although the boiler is still under warranty and is being serviced by service specialists.

Error and fault codes
Proterm boilers are very reliable equipment, which is confirmed by more than ten years of experience in using units in Russia and the CIS countries. Almost the majority of failures are caused by disturbances from the outside, in external utility networks: water, electricity and gas.
Errors on Bear boilers can be easily removed
Failures occur in the control unit due to violations in the grounding system of the boiler equipment. The boiler software package has a good diagnostic system, which will not only identify malfunctions in the operation of components and mechanisms and report them to the user so that corrective measures can be taken
Basic fault codes for Proterm boilers:
- F00 - the line of the primary sensor NTC2 is open, the temperature of the supply pipeline.
- F01 - NTC5 primary sensor line is open, return pipe temperature.
- F10 - short circuit in the line of the primary sensor NTC2.
- F11 - short circuit in the line of the primary sensor NTC5.
- F20 - high coolant temperature in the supply circuit above 90 C.
- F22 - low pressure in the heating circuit.
- F23 - high temperature difference between forward and return.
- F24 - low circulation in the heating circuit.
- F25 - flue gas leak in the room.
- F27 - separation of the torch from the burner.
- F28 - low gas fuel pressure.
- F33 - low air supply to the firebox.
- F49 - low voltage in the mains and at the Ebus terminal, less than 15 V.
Subtleties of setting up and operating the boiler
To create an optimally comfortable microclimate in the house, any boiler from Proterm needs to be configured. Automation of the models allows you to completely adapt the operation of the device to your needs and preferences and independently regulate the temperature in each room.
Thus, the “electronic brain” of the boiler makes it possible to:
- diagnose faults, store the last 10 errors in memory;
- regulate the flame level in the burner thanks to a temperature sensor;
- autonomously start the heating system;
- monitor temperature indicators;
- completely turn off the operation of the boiler thanks to preliminary settings in an emergency or if necessary, etc.
The electronic system is configured according to the factory instructions supplied with the kit. For safety reasons during operation, the setup should be entrusted to a specialist.
Protherm takes responsibility for the maintenance of its equipment and the qualifications of its technicians. Therefore, specialists often undergo official certification from the manufacturer
To increase the efficiency of a gas boiler, it is worth familiarizing yourself with a number of subtleties of its operation.
There are certain nuances, the understanding of which will be useful to every owner of Protherm boilers:
- To more accurately regulate the temperature of the heating medium, you can connect a room thermostat to a gas boiler.
- A thermostat connected to a room temperature sensor will also make it easy to set the desired temperature in a specific room.
- If the pressure in the Protherm unit has dropped slightly, its level can be restored by restarting the boiler regularly.
- In order to fill the coolant reservoir as much as possible, the first start-up of the system must be performed with the maximum possible temperature set.
- If the efficiency of the boiler has dropped, it is necessary to exclude the presence of soot and scale, and diagnose the system for the absence of air pockets. It would also be useful to install a draft limiter. We recommend that you familiarize yourself with the best ways to increase efficiency.
- If the pressure in the heating system is consistently insufficient, the installation of a circulation pump is required.
These subtleties will allow you to optimally configure the operation of complex equipment.
