Gas water heaters Astra: review, reviews, faults

ABOUT

The manufacturer of Astra gas water heaters is Russian. This powerful enterprise is located in Nizhny Novgorod, and has been engaged in high-tech production for 60 years. More than 50% of its products are in the aviation industry, and water heaters make up only a fifth of the products produced by this giant. The dispensers produced by the plant operate only on natural gas. Combustion products are removed through a chimney. The company previously produced KG water heaters, today they are obsolete, and the plant offers Russian consumers more modern versions - economical, high efficiency, durable and safe.

Why are geysers popular?

It’s good when hot water flows from the tap “by itself” in an apartment, but some residents of apartment buildings can only dream of this. The deplorable state of housing and communal services networks forces Russians to independently solve the problem of hot water supply, choosing between a boiler and a water heater. If gas is not supplied to the house, there is no question - you have to buy a boiler; if blue fuel is available, a gas appliance is a more profitable option. The offered models differ in power and performance. The maximum value is 20 kW. By consuming gas moderately, they save their owners money. The average price is 9,000 rubles. Chimney diameter – up to 12 cm.

Simple geyser Astra

General description of the model range

The Astra gas water heater is economical and can quickly heat water. Natural fuel is used. Some heater options can supply hot water to 2 points at the same time. The manufacturer produces flow-through models with manual or electric ignition.

Geyser Astra

The heat exchanger of the columns is well insulated, so the water cools down slowly. On the body there are combustion control levers, gas supply, a power button and a window for ignition and flame monitoring.

The units have a simple, understandable control system. The case is made in white colors, has a rectangular shape, it is easily mounted on the wall and does not take up much space.

What are the benefits of Astra Group of Companies?

The Nizhny Novgorod enterprise offers not one or two modifications of gas-powered water heaters, but a whole model range, which includes speakers of different power and performance. All gas heaters can be divided into two groups:

  • Flow-through. They heat the water constantly. They are more compact and can be installed in tight spaces.
  • Cumulative. Heat a certain volume of water - 50-500 liters. This option is selected taking into account the needs of the family.

Advantages of Astra products:

  • Made in Russia. Therefore, they are inexpensive and can be easily repaired. If it breaks, you can always find a suitable spare part and fix it.
  • The heating container has a heat-insulating layer, so the heated water does not cool down for a long time - resources are saved.
  • Simple design - you can easily understand everything. Reliable device - tested by consumers. It's easy to figure out how to use the device.
  • There is nothing superfluous, no “functionality”, it just heats the water. This has a positive effect on the price.
  • Good productivity - up to 12 liters per minute. This is enough for two water intake points.
  • Safety. The machine turns off the device when there is no draft, when the water supply stops and when there is no flame.

Burner

The burner is the main element of the Astra gas water heater. It is made of durable steel. Depending on the model, ignition is carried out manually or electrically. In the first option, press the valve button and bring a match. In the second, the flame appears automatically when you open a hot water tap.

When turning off the burner in manual mode, turn all levers until they close. In the automatic version, you just need to close the water tap. To adjust the flame level, there is a lever on the body of the Astra device.

Before ignition, you should always check the draft. She must be good. If there is no traction, the column will not ignite. If the burner suddenly goes out, gas and water automatically stop flowing into the column.

There is a window on the body of the Astra gas water heater through which you can monitor the flame. It should be a stable blue color. The appearance of yellow sparks and reeds indicates contamination of the burner. To clean this element you need:

  • turn off the column;
  • remove the body;
  • disassemble the burner.

The burner can be washed in soapy water. During this procedure, it is recommended to clean the nozzle, chimney, combustion chamber and strip the electrodes. All elements must be dried, then assemble the column. Before turning on, you need to check the connecting elements and traction.

High-performance Astra 16

Specifications

The heat exchanger of the Astra geyser is made of high-quality copper, which allows you to quickly heat the water.

Depending on the power, the equipment can heat up to 12 liters per minute. The maximum heating temperature is 60 degrees. If this threshold is exceeded, the Astra geyser overheats and turns off. When the water pressure decreases, the equipment automatically reduces the gas supply.

The minimum pressure with which such columns are capable of operating is 0.5 bar, and the maximum is 6. Gas consumption depends on the power of the water heater and is no more than 2.3 cubic meters per hour. The diameter of the chimneys is from 12 to 13.5 cm.

To extend the service life of the Astra water heater, it is recommended to follow the operating rules:

  • regularly wipe the speaker body from accumulated dust with a damp cloth;
  • do not allow the water temperature to rise above 60 degrees;
  • when scale appears, remove it from the body and heat exchanger tubes using a solution of citric acid;
  • Carry out annual maintenance of the column with replacement of filters, complete cleaning of the gas water heater from combustion products.

Regular inspection and maintenance ensures fast water heating, long service life, and reduces the risk of malfunctions and breakdowns.

Which models are the most purchased?

Consumers are happy to express their emotions about domestic technology, mentally accustomed to scolding everything that is made in Russia. When discussing Nizhny Novgorod gas water heaters, you need to be objective and take into account the realities of domestic consumption. Any equipment is prone to wear and tear and cannot operate at full capacity for a long time: breakdowns and malfunctions are common for equipment that deals with different types of resources. The GC models received the greatest recognition among consumers:

  • Astra 8910-10 has become the number 1 choice for its extreme simplicity and low cost. Estimated cost 5,000 rubles.
  • JSD20-10A. Consumers are attracted by electronic ignition and the absence of an ever-burning wick.

Connection tightening

If your water heater breaks down

Before you begin repairing gas water heaters, regardless of the type of breakdown, you need to shut off the gas supply. The device itself does not need to be removed - all structural parts are accessible without dismantling. But the “facade” - the front cover of the heater, needs to be removed by unscrewing the side bolts with a screwdriver. First you need to inspect the heat exchanger - it is located behind the electrode, fixed with four bolts. It is not recommended to unscrew the heat exchanger.

When repairing device components, the main thing is not to touch the fitting - this element is needed to measure water pressure. If you accidentally damage the fitting, you will need to replace the head. The main malfunctions of gas water heaters:

  • Contacts are dirty. Contacts that have become unusable must be replaced with new ones.
  • The heat exchanger is damaged. Correcting the situation is replacement.

If the column does not light up

The most common problem that happens with a gas water heater is that the heater does not light up. The cause of the problem may be a lack of traction. Before turning on the column, you need to check the draft in the ventilation hole - light a match and bring it to the chimney outlet. If everything is in order, then the flame seems to be drawn into the hole - there is draft, and you can turn on the device. If the flame does not stop, the chimney needs to be cleaned. You can do this yourself, but if you lack the skills, it is better to entrust it to a specialist.

Another common malfunction that occurs with gas-powered water heaters is extinguishing after ignition. If the wick goes out, you need to adjust the cold water supply.

Malfunctions and repairs of the Astra geyser

_______________________________________________________________________________

In operation, the gas water heater Astra 8910, when you open the water, a spark is generated, and even when the flame is already burning, the spark continues to be generated, and 1 and 5 times after about five seconds, it stops with the continuation of the flame burning, and in others it simply goes out. You need to start by cleaning the ionization electrode (which does not spark) and it would not hurt to blow off the dust from the device, especially from the burner. The ionization electrode wire could also be burnt, cut off and connected back. A malfunction has appeared related to the water block - when the water is turned off, the column does not turn off immediately, as it should. At first it began to go out with a bang, then it began to go out with a whole series of pops, and now it doesn’t go out at all - small strips of burning gas remain on the burner and they continue to burn and accordingly heat the column, although the water is turned off. As I understand it, the rod is not working properly and does not completely shut off the gas supply? When I assembled it during the last repair, the rod moved quite tightly, but everything worked. Here, it seems, there is a double-edged sword, it moves freely, water seeps in, it moves tightly - there is no water, but there is no complete shutoff of gas. I'm going to lubricate it with something (graphite grease?), maybe it will help? As a last resort, replace the entire water block, but for now I want to get the best out of it, especially since I just replaced the gasket. The frog is not to blame, the spring in the gas part is to blame. Remove the burner, pull out the spring, the smaller one, and stretch it by about 1/3. They love to sit there. In one go, pull out the plug and lubricate it. Is it possible to install a heat exchanger on the VPG-18 Astra from models 20.23? I think it is possible. I’ve never dealt with water heaters before (I lived in apartments with boilers or running hot water), but now I’m faced with an Astra heater. It worked, but it was unrealistic to use; the pressure at the outlet was very weak (although at the inlet it was good), and when mixing water it went out. It’s impossible to take a shower; I took half a bath of boiling water and mixed it with cold water. I decided to carry out an inspection, first of all I disassembled the water reducer, it was covered in plaque (layer 1 - 5-2mm), cleaned it of plaque, naturally cleaned the holes, as it turned out later - the valve body is made of low-quality metal and when interacting with water, this metal decomposed . As a result, after my “revision” the pressure became better, but the column stopped igniting, then I reduced the outlet hole with a brass bushing, as a result of which it began to work, but not as I wanted? In general, if you fix this gearbox with the provided 3 screws, then it does not ignite, but if you loosen the screws and lift the gearbox (I support it with a beam), then everything works fine and goes out if you turn off the hot water and does not go out if you stir with cold water and lights up if open hot. I'm thinking maybe I could lengthen the rod by 2mm? How can it be lengthened? Or what's the problem? Please tell me if the automation on the gas water heater Astra 8910 began to turn off the burner with a delay, i.e. When the hot water is turned off, the fire goes out for half a minute, and not immediately, does this indicate a failure of the membrane? And are there any difficulties in replacing it? I have a repair kit, in addition to the membrane: a brass mushroom, seals, a rod bushing, do I need to change any seals and the mushroom? The membrane has not been changed since its installation in 2008. The smaller spring in the gas part needs to be stretched. The igniter on the Astra gas water heater does not light. What could it be connected with? Remove the pilot tube and clean it. You may need to change the rubber gasket. Malfunction of the VPG-18 Astra geyser, does not ignite, since there is no pressure in the hot water tap, while the pressure in the cold water tap is excellent. What could be the reason? The reasons can be different: the heat exchanger is clogged with scale, the column filter is clogged, there is a blockage in the hot water pipe or in the tap itself, etc. You can try this: disconnect the outlet pipeline from the device and look at the water pressure directly at the outlet of it: if it is good, it means that -it got clogged after, if it’s bad, it means there’s a problem with the device. The Astra 8910 geyser is in operation. When the water is turned on, the main burner does not light up or lights up, but burns very weakly and the flame is not regulated. There is a suspicion that it is time to change the membrane, but could the problem be something else? Yes, most likely a membrane. It is not shaped, you can cut it yourself from sheet rubber up to 1 mm. Help me find the reason, geyser Astra 8910-02, when hot water is turned on it goes out from time to time, I cleaned the thermocouple until it shines, the membrane is in good condition, but just in case I replaced it with a new one, the water pressure is less than that of cold water, what else note? Maybe the traction is bad, or the traction sensor is acting up. If there is no draft sensor, then there is a tube bent with a hook at the top of the water heater and going to the igniter. Through this tube, the air necessary for combustion is supplied to the igniter. If the draft (and, accordingly, the removal of smoke) is disrupted, then not air, but smoke will flow through the tube, and the igniter will go out, the thermocouple will cool down and the column will turn off. So even without a draft sensor (it is triggered by an increase in temperature in the upper part of the device), but with such a system, the column reacts to deterioration/absence of draft. The pilot flame should hit the thermocouple. If for some reason this does not happen, then due to insufficient heating of the thermocouple it produces less current and the solenoid valve shuts off the gas supply to the burner. Geyser Astra, model 8910, 1.5 years. From the very beginning of the connection, when adding gas, the temperature of the hot water increases (from warm to noticeably hot), when turning the gas supply control knob to the left, when placing it against the right small red flame icon on the front cover of the column, it begins to “sing” and crackle. The water pressure, cold and hot, at the outlet is satisfactory, but the water temperature (for example, when filling a bath) is low. I'm afraid to increase the gas supply. When you turn the handle even slightly to the left, it continues to “sing” and crackle even louder. I don't think it's safe. Is it possible to somehow solve this issue? If it’s like a kettle before boiling, then it’s scale. Needs to be cleaned and washed. Who removed the heat exchanger from the VPG-18 gas water heater? Share your experience, I just can’t unscrew it, I’m already pulling with the gas wrench with all my strength, but it won’t budge. The inlet and outlet of the heat exchanger are screwed with union nuts and fittings. It is unscrewed with ordinary keys, but there should be two of them: one key holds the fitting, and the second key unscrews the nut (you can do the opposite: hold the nut and unscrew the fitting). If you use a gas wrench with force, the nut may crack. There are difficult cases when water leaks into this connection and over time the connection sours. Then it is better to remove the device, put it on the floor or on a table and unscrew it like that. The gas water heater Astra VPG-18 is malfunctioning and has stopped lighting up. I disassembled the frog, changed the rod with the mushroom and the membrane. After this, it lights up only at maximum pressure and, accordingly, hardly heats up. What can you do? There is an old frog without a disk. If the membrane is black, so it will be. If there is a cap for the key 22 on the front of the water block, unscrew it. There is a filter installed there - remove it. The adjusting needle of the pressure regulator is screwed into the plug; try unscrewing it. It will break and then it won’t be a shame to buy a new regulator with a disk; you can adjust the pressure without disassembling it. With the plug turned out, use a D2 mm knitting needle to clean the hole in the block. A year and a half ago we purchased and installed an Astra gas water heater. They called gas workers, who looked at the water pressure and advised us to buy this model. After some time, the pressure of hot water in the bathroom decreased (private house, kitchen and bathroom nearby). The kitchen remained at the same level. In the kitchen the speaker turned on immediately, and in the bathroom only if water was flowing in the kitchen. Today my pipes froze and there was no water for some time. Now the water pressure is the same as before. But it doesn't turn on. Even if I turn on hot water, both in the bathroom and in the kitchen. Tell me, what could this be connected with? There is one hot water outlet from the boiler. If the hot water pressure was good in the kitchen, but poor in the bathroom, then the problem was not in the heater, but in the pipe or faucet in the bathroom. Try adjusting the water flow using the appropriate adjustment screw. This is such a round thing in front of the water part (frog). Malfunction of the gas water heater Astra 18. It does not ignite at all, it goes out. We think that the membrane has burst, or there is no pressure (it’s just that before the pressure from the faucet in the kitchen was greater, now it is weaker, much less, but it still seems sufficient for the water heater to turn on). We'll see if it's clogged. The fact is that the pressure of water from a cold and hot tap is very different (hot water flows much weaker). The igniter seems to be good, it doesn’t bother you, it’s practically inaudible, it burns constantly. What can be done? Try disconnecting the water outlet from the column and lighting it. If it lights up, then your pipes are clogged; if not, then either the membrane is torn or the filter mesh is clogged. Unscrew the regulator wheel on the front of the water block, there is a 8 nut. Under it is a 22 nut. Unscrew it and pull out the filter mesh. I have had the same device for 5 years now. The igniter was noisy. I took a spring from an automatic ballpoint pen and inserted it into the igniter outlet. The groove fits just right there. It is located under the guide petal of the flame. There is no need to disassemble anything. The result is a divider. Now I can't hear the pilot light at all. The Astra 8910 geyser is in operation. Once again, having dismantled the heat exchanger and poured an anti-scale solution into it, I decided to check where I was experiencing strong pressure losses. What we have: water pressure 1.6 atm. (3rd floor and water tower), 12.5 liters per minute from a cold tap. It seems clear that the column reduces water pressure. After descaling, water flow improves. So, the cold water pressure is good - 12.5 liters per minute. I connect the flexible connections of the inlet and outlet of their column with a nipple - the pressure is almost the same. I installed a cleaned heat exchanger. The pressure decreased quite a bit. Thus, I discovered that the lion's share of pressure loss occurs in the water block. 3.5 liters per minute comes out of the hot tap! Cold is 12.5, and hot is 3.5! The water block has a hot-cold regulator. It stands in the cold position, ensuring maximum water passage through the column. Maybe this regulator inside is broken in the horizontal position, and the device slows down the flow as much as possible because of this. How can I check this? There's nothing to break there. Most likely, the filter located there (a mesh in the form of a tube) is clogged. You need to unscrew the nut that is under the hose adjustment handwheel and take a look. I remember a similar case. And the heat exchanger was washed, and the water part was disassembled, and what not they did, but the output was still not enough water. It turned out that on the cold water pipe at the connection in front of the column, those who installed it had pinched the gasket, and initially little water flowed into it. The Astra VPG gas water heater is in operation. It worked well for 5 years, but a malfunction appeared. Symptoms: The wick goes out during ignition when you release the handle. I press the left handle - gas is supplied to the wick. I turn it counterclockwise - the piezo is triggered, the wick lights up, I stand there, waiting for the thermocouple to warm up. After waiting for any number of minutes, I release the handle - the wick goes out, but should continue to burn. Over the last week, it often turned out that the column was turned off; for what reason the wick went out, I didn’t have time to finally figure it out. Often I had to go light it. And here it was discovered that sometimes it was quite difficult to ignite it, that is, it was necessary to heat the thermocouple for almost 2 minutes. And then she didn’t want to get fired up at all. A few hours later it ignited the first time within 30 seconds. But then it went out again and did not light up for a day. Then it lit up one last time, and I haven’t been able to do it again until now. Tell me how to identify and fix the problem? You need to check whether the tip of the thermocouple is smoked; if necessary, carefully clean it with fine sandpaper. Is the thermocouple well washed by the igniter flame? If necessary, clean the nozzle (often called the nozzle) of the igniter with a very thin wire; from the thermocouple to the electromagnetic valve (EMV) there is a thin tube, where it enters the EMC, unscrew the nut, pull out this tube and use a zero-snatch (or a matchbox striker) to clean the contact, insert the tube into the electromagnetic valve and tighten the nut without excessive force . Is there a draft/overheat sensor in the column? If there is, then clean the contacts on it. If all this does not help, then most likely you need to change the thermocouple. Problems when turning the column on/off are possible due to the fact that it is time to replace the membrane in the water part (the water part is also called the frog). The traction sensor with the solenoid valve form a series circuit in which the current is supplied by a heated thermocouple; if there is poor contact, the water heater will not turn on. The traction sensor is triggered by overheating - the contact in it opens due to the heat, the current disappears in the circuit, and the electromagnet in the EMC “releases” the valve, which shuts off the gas. Checking the serviceability/failure of the traction sensor is simple: just short-circuit it, if after this the column starts working, it means it is faulty. Malfunction of the geyser Astra 8910-02. It always takes a very long time for the pilot light to light up; you have to press the button for about 30 seconds for the pilot light to light up, and this has always been the case, ever since the column was installed. And the second question, recently, already during the supply of hot water, both the burner and the igniter constantly began to go out, after this extinguishing - it is even more difficult to light the igniter, you need to press the button much longer to light it. The device is about 5 years old. Perhaps it will help. In models of this type (both Neva and Astra) the operating principle is absolutely the same. Malfunction of the Astra VPG geyser. It crackles a lot when water is supplied, and it doesn’t matter whether it burns or not, what is the reason? You probably have a recirculation pump installed in your water supply system (throughout the entire system). If this is the case, it is better to connect the home system to the general water supply using a soft or plastic connection. We lit the Astra gas water heater, turned on the hot water, the water heater itself either goes out or comes on. I was told that it was either a membrane or a bad rod. I opened the block, lubricated the rod with graphite grease, and replaced the membrane upside down. I worked for several days. Then the same thing. I bought a new block, bronze, with a spring fastening on top, the old one didn’t have this, the store said that it should be like that. The rod doesn't move at all. Okay, I installed it and now even the wick won’t light. What can be done? In the old block, replace the membrane (it has stretched) and everything will be fine. The wick doesn't light up because you did something a little too clever. It should light up, at least when the button is pressed. The fastening with a spring is used to replace/fill the stuffing box of the rod; previously there was a rubber ring inside, but it was very inconvenient and, most importantly, it was not always possible to change it. There is a thrust ring on the cone and when removed and installed it did not hold well. Try pulling the rod out with your hands on the new dropsy and then pushing it back in. Should walk with little resistance, but freely and without snagging. Also try turning the Venturi wheel all the way, on the front of the dropsy.

  • NEVA REPAIR

In operation, the Neva VPG-12E gas water heater, after turning on the hot water tap, the water heater lights up, but the temperature does not rise above 20 degrees. The water pressure is normal, it does not respond to the regulator for increasing the flame, as it was 18-20 degrees, it remains so. What could be the problem?

  • ARISTON

I connected the Ariston Marco Polo Gi7s speaker. Everything is working. But the device turns on the second time. That is, you turn on the water, the column starts up, clicks and goes into error E1. Then he closed the tap, opened it and it started. Powered by a cylinder. Is this possible because after it works I turn off the gas?

  • ELECTROLUX

There is a malfunction of the Electrolux 275 geyser, when you turn on the hot water, everything lights up and works for 5-7 minutes, after which there is a click in it and it goes out along with the igniter. Tell me what is the problem?

  • OASIS

Malfunction of the Oasis TUR 20 geyser. In the “Summer” mode, the gas and water regulator is at maximum. It goes out on its own, sometimes after 5 minutes, sometimes after 30. In the “Winter” mode, with any combination of controls, it goes out after 30-40 seconds. What can be wrong? Water supply via flexible hoses. Could they be the cause? If yes, what should I replace it with?

  • VECTOR

Tell me, I have this problem: when the water is turned off, the column lights up on its own, the temperature rises and does not turn off (I had to take out the batteries), I put the batteries back in (I don’t turn on the water), it lights up, what should I do?

  • ASTER

Help me find the reason, geyser Astra 8910-02, when hot water is turned on it goes out from time to time, I cleaned the thermocouple until it shines, the membrane is in good condition, but just in case I replaced it with a new one, the water pressure is less than that of cold water, what else note?

  • BOSCH

I installed and put into operation a Bosch WR 13 gas water heater. I switched the nozzles to liquefied gas, removed the jumper from j6, that is, switched it to liquefied gas mode, but the water heater does not work, who knows anything about this? When turned on, the green button lights up for a couple of seconds, and then the red button starts blinking and only the fan turns on.

  • JUNKERS

The Junkers gas water heater began to malfunction. It works for 15-20 minutes and goes out. You turn the water off and on, the igniter lights up, and after a few seconds it goes out, and you can do this no matter how many times, it doesn’t light up. A little time passes - it works, and everything repeats again. The water pressure is good, as is the gas pressure. What could be the reason?

Typical breakdowns

It happens that in the devices in question the hydraulic unit breaks down. It is easy to dismantle, but difficult to put back in place. After disconnecting the hydraulic group, you must immediately check the valves - they must be securely fastened. If the valves move, or the tightness of the connection is compromised, they must be replaced immediately. When purchasing elements of a hydraulic unit, it is important to know the modification of the hydraulic unit.

Also, the solenoid valve may break down in the main body. This is a small problem, but if it is not addressed in a timely manner, the consequences can be very serious. The valve may deteriorate due to clogging with combustion products - you need to urgently clean it of soot, otherwise there is a risk of explosion.

Removing the control panel

Breakdowns of Astra geysers and how to fix them

First, in order to repair the Astra gas water heater, the gas in the pipe is shut off. The speaker itself does not need to be removed from the wall. The front part of the device is removed using a screwdriver, unscrew the bolts on the sides. First, the economizer, which is located behind the electrode, is checked. The electrode is also not easy to remove. It is mounted in the Astra column with four bolts. We do not touch the heat exchanger.

Everything unscrews very neatly. This is done in order not to touch the fitting, which is used to measure the pressure in the device. If you suddenly touch or damage the pressure measuring fitting, you will have to change the head. But the economizer is very easy to remove. To do this, you only have to unscrew the two bolts on the sides of the column.

You also need to check and pay attention to the contacts; they often become dirty. If the contacts become unusable, they should be replaced with new ones. If after replacement the economizer does not work, then it will have to be completely replaced. These are the main malfunctions of the Astra geyser. The same repair mechanism and main malfunctions of the Astra 8910 geyser.

The first breakdown is when the Astra gas water heater does not light up. What to do? The most common problem with this is that there may be a lack of draft in the ventilation passage. Checking the draft in the chimney is very simple. You must first turn off the gas water heater and bring a burning match to the chimney outlet.

If the flame enters the chimney, then everything is in order, and you can reconnect the outlet to the chimney. Cleaning a chimney with your own hands is easy; if you doubt your own abilities, it is better to call a special specialist.

Does the Astra gas water heater not light up, or does it go out immediately? In this situation, you need to adjust the supply of cold water to the column. The main thing is not to try to dilute cold and hot water together, this can lead to a sudden extinguishing of the flame.

In the future, the question arises: how to set up and install a gas water heater? To do this you need to have the following tool with you:

  1. Pipe wrench.
  2. Two types of adjustable wrench.
  3. Phillips and flathead screwdrivers.
  4. Set of paronite and rubber gaskets.
  5. A regular rubber hose 1-2 inches, with a metal clamp attached to it.
  6. Regular descaling agent (ordinary vinegar will do).
  7. A container for draining liquid in the column.

Also, the hydraulic group in Astra geysers often fails. It's easy to take off, but putting it on is problematic. Once you have disconnected the hydraulic group, you need to inspect the valves. Such valves must stand firmly.

If there are the slightest shifts and lack of density, then the parts need to be changed. You need to buy parts for the hydraulic group and know the model of the gas water heater. The solenoid valve of the Astra gas water heater also often fails. It often becomes clogged with soot and requires urgent cleaning to prevent an explosion.
