• Tighten the vice until the wooden rods are glued to the two arches, if the cross beam is too long, loosen the vice, saw and try again.
• Using a piece of wood and a hammer, tap gently so that the squares are pressed into the corners;
• Weld the cross member in place.

Step 7:Painting

Before you start cleaning and painting metal parts, you need to protect the wood surfaces. I used newspaper and masking tape to cover the wood, being very careful to cover the gaps around the squares. Use fine sandpaper and then wipe off the dust with a damp cloth.
